Christian Home Business Association

The Christian Home Business Association (CHBA) was established by very experienced Christian entrepreneurs for Christians who work from home (or wish to) to provide them with the information, religious inspiration, and personal, caring support that will help them to build ethical, profitable home-based businesses.

It offers assistance to Christians involved in a variety of home businesses, including mail order; offline direct sales; sales of products or services provided in or from the home; and Internet-based home business programs.

What We Stand For and What We Won't Stand For

In addition to being a group of Christians who are involved in one or more home businesses (or who wish to start a home-based business) our members support the following statements:

1. Our Christian faith is very important to us and we consider it, and the Bible, to be the primary sources of guidance, inspiration, wisdom and comfort for us in all aspects of life; including the conduct of business.

2. We are horrified by the terrible reputation that the home business industry has developed. Instead of giving up on it and walking away in disgust as so many already have, we are joining together, as Christians and as ethical home business owners, to take a stand to let others know that there are honest, decent Christian people operating ethical home businesses in the home business industry.

3 We are committed to doing what we can to bring about improvements in the ethics and reputation of the home-based business industry. We are especially committed to avoiding hype and helping ordinary Christian, God-loving people who have limited financial means and no special talents or training in marketing, advertising or sales.

4. We pledge to avoid the use of “hype” in the advertising and marketing that we do to promote our home business(es). By hype we mean false, exaggerated, or unrealistic claims or suggestions particularly but not exclusively regarding the profit potential of a home business program, or regarding how quickly and easily major profits can be made with it. We understand that using hype is “standard operating procedure” for many if not most home business marketers, and yet we are willing to risk losing money rather than use hype because we believe it is unethical. Hype creates false expectations that result in many innocent, trusting people experiencing financial loss, disappointment, shame and bitterness, which naturally contribute (yet again) to the terrible reputation of home business programs and opportunities.

The Christian Home Business Association membership dues are $10 a month and provide members with the following benefits and services:

As a new organization, we are especially grateful for any help that our members provide in sharing the word about--and introducing new members to--the Christian Home Business Association. We offer the following referral bonus to members who refer others to the Christian Home Business Association: $5 for each new member that joins after learning about the association from you (as well as $5 for every month that they remain active, paying members).

Not surprisingly, this is one of our most popular benefits. To protect our members' privacy, we do this only with our members' permission and support. Being listed is strictly optional. However, this directory offers members a way to advertise their own business(es) to like-minded associates and a valuable tool for networking.

---- Anointed for Business Devotions, a monthly 4 x 5 ½ inch compact publication that contains Bible quotes, prayers, articles, poetry, quotations, resources and recommendations carefully selected to uplift and uphold Christian entrepreneurs. Our Bible quotations are all taken from the King James Version of the Bible. We do not refer to, recommend or have ties to any particular Christian church or denomination.

---- Free Personalized Christian Home Business Association Website and Free Hosting for it. You will not only be able to provide information to others about the Christian Home Business Association through your website, which will list your own Member I.D. Number and (if you so choose) your contact information, you can also list details about one home business that you are involved in (subject to administrative review and approval) and add a photograph and information about yourself, as space permits.

---- Monthly Members' News Updates (periodic) providing news about CHBA and valuable resources for Christian entrepreneurs.

---- Professional Writing Assistance for your home business or home business-related activities. Our founder and administrator, Cynthia Lee, has more than 30 years experience in business and freelance writing and has published her own columns re: business managers and new businesses in a weekly business publication produced by a major daily newspaper. She also has extensive experience in publishing articles and newsletters online and offline. One of her specialties is interviews of business people that not only provide some biographical background about them, but also express the business philosophy or principles and provide information about their primary business in an attractive and compelling manner.

Members can get one of these interviews and up to 10 additional hours of expert assistance with their business writing needs per year. This includes consulting re: writing advertisements, news releases, articles, flyers, brochures, newsletters, radio spots and more. (This benefit alone has a $300-plus value),

How Do I Become A Member of the Christian Home Business Association?

You can join the Christian Home Business Association in two ways at this time. Additional payment methods may be added in the months to come. We will let members know when this happens.

1. You can join through Paypal on the Internet. Using Paypal is a good choice if you would like to have your monthly $10 payments automatically withdrawn from one of your major credit cards or from your personal checking account through Paypal. It provides a secure financial transaction system and is free to set up.

2. You can join by filling out an application form and returning it to us through the U.S. Postal service along with your first payment in the form of a money order or in cash.

This "Home Page" is a general information webpage. It is not a Christian Home Business Association member's website. We prefer to have new members join under other members.
